Portrait / Figure Art Class Curriculum

Our weekly in-person group art classes follow a carefully developed curriculum to help you master drawing and painting portraits and figures, whether you’ve never drawn a face before, or you already have some experience under your belt. In this ongoing group class, you will receive personal guidance from the instructor, tailored to your progress.

Here is a sneak peek into what you will learn in the class:

About Your Instructor

After many years working in corporate banking, I decided to teach myself how to draw and paint in year 2012, and sold my very first painting the following year.

In 2022, I started taking private mentorship from a Russian-American artist, following the tradition of apprentices studying under old masters during the Renaissance. This has greatly accelerated my skills and vision, and shaped my approach to making and teaching art.

Over the years, I’ve taught art classes to hundreds of students worldwide, both online and in person. However, I found that real connection and quality curriculum are key to fostering artistic growth, which is why I now focus on teaching weekly art classes to adults.

My paintings have been collected internationally, and I’ve been honoured as a semi-finalist in the Dough Moran Art Prize and a finalist in the Australian-Korean Art Foundation Prize. I’m dedicated to cultivating skills, vision, and creativity in my own work and in helping my students achieve their artistic goals.

You can see more examples of my creative work on my website gallery here.
